From Stephen of California to Shi
Dear Shi,
My name is Stephen Chen and I am a junior in high school. I am 15 years old and I live in California. I heard of your situation through an organization called EEP. I hope that with this money you can continue to strive for excellence in your academic studies. Hopefully it will be enough to support you and take a burden off of your father. I know that you will continue to work hard and that you will persevere even in your difficult circumstances. The fact that you were number 1 in your class while having to deal with the tough situations in your home is incredible. It is truly amazing that you are so self-motivated in your work. I am inspired by your strength of character and your ambitions of attending the #1 college in your area. I will try to support you through the rest of your high school career, and I wish you the best of luck.
Sincerely,
Stephen Chen
