受助學生賀英的來函
溫洳阿姨：
您 好 ﹗ 我 剛 剛 得 知 這 個 令 人 悲 慟 的 消 息, 我 很 遺 憾。
陳 叔 叔 是 個 大 好 人，他 的 音 容 笑 貌 會 永 遠 留 在 我 們 心 中，
他 的 故 事 令 人 感 動， 我 會 告 訴 我 的 學 生 們 世 間 有 一 位 陳 叔 叔，
他 為 貧 困 失 學 兒 童 付 出 了 無 價 的 愛。
請 代 我 轉 告 陳 叔 叔 的 家 人 和 其 他 燃 燈 助 學 委 員 會 的 叔 叔 阿 姨 們，我 理 解 他 們 現 在 的 心 情， 請 讓 他 們 節 哀 順 變 。我 相 信， 陳 叔 叔 一 定 是 到 了 天 堂 (如 果 有 的 話)，他 的 靈 魂 由 精 靈 們 守 護 著。.
在 那 兒 他 辛 福 的 生 活 著 。我 們 要 好 好 的 活 下 去， 要 化 悲 痛 為 力 量,繼 承 他 的 事 業， 將 燃 燈 助 學 的 精 神 發 揚 光 大。如 果 陳 叔 叔泉 下 有 知 的 話，他 會 感 到 欣 慰 的。
溫 洳 阿 姨，能 否 給 我 多 一 些 關 於 陳 叔 叔 的 資 料， 我 想 把 它 們 編 成一 本 故 事 書，作 為 學 生 的 課 外 閱 讀 資 料，我 希 望 我 和 我 的 學 生 以 此 激 勵 自 己， 不 斷 前 進 ，最 後 請 保 重 身 體！

Aunt Wen,
How are you? I have just learned with profound sorrow of the death of Uncle Chen. He was so much loved for his charities and good work and he will be long remembered by many for his friendly smile and spirit. His story is so touching that I have to tell all my students there was a man who sent his love and devoted friendship to the children in poverty.
I know how meaningless words are to his family and the rest of EEP members right now and how little we can do to comfort you. But I beg you to bear with it and be brave. I believe Uncle Chen must be in heaven (if there is one) right now, surrounded by angels living happily ever after. In the meantime we must be strong and keep looking to the future for the sake of all children who look to you for guidance and support. I’m sure that Uncle Chen wants us to carry on his program.
Auntie Wen, can you give me more information about Uncle Chen? I would like to write a book about him as the reading material for my students. It will be very inspiring for both my students and me.
