Dear Uncle Chang and Auntie Ding,
On the Feb. 28th 2004, several schoolmates and I went to school for registration. We were filled with excitement when we saw the school building, and as though it was rehearsed, we all exclaimed our thoughts at the same time: “What a beautiful school!” Bright, spacious classroom towers had been built right on the side of the mountain. Upon seeing the beautiful new school, we picked up our paced and practically ran the rest of the way there. We had never seen such a stunning building before so we approached the school with great caution, admiring every detail. Touching the walls, windows, and pillars gave us an incredible sensation. We all had something to say when we saw this place.
“Do you know who built it?”
“Yeah, of course! Uncle Chang and Aunt Ding from EEP.”
“Wow, they’re really great.”
“I know!”
“It’s a real luxury to learn in a school like this.”
“Yeah, the old building was all crooked, and the ceiling would leak every time it rained. And, there’s no heat during the winter. And who could forget about the lack of light. Going to school there was like serving time in prison, am I right?”
“Exactly.”
Thank you Uncle Chang and Aunt Ding for giving us such a spacious, bright school! We won’t have to be afraid of the wind and rain anymore. We will be able to study even more diligently and get even better grades. On behalf the entire school, let me just say, thank you uncle and auntie. You are our heroes, and in our hearts, you’re Bodhisattvas.
We would love to meet you in person. When you are not too busy, can you come visit us? We think of you everyday. I wish you wealth, longevity, and all the best!
