恭喜你得到全年級的第一名。其實，我不是一個叔叔。是個十歲的小孩子。我在美國紐約的小學資優班讀五年級，功課比一般的同年級難。我在學校只是維持在第六或第七名，而我的平均分數大約在九十二分左右。
你好嗎?你的父母親，爺爺奶奶好嗎？我希望他們可以很快恢復健康。
你知道我為什麼曾贊助你嗎？
其實，我的媽媽是你真的要感謝的人，她知道我喜歡幫助別人，所以她就幫我找到這個贊助的計畫。第一年她是真正贊助你的人，因為是她付的錢，但是，等我自己存上足夠錢的時候，我就把錢還給她。你不要擔心，我會很努力做好我份內的工作，因為媽媽說，只要我做好份內該做的事，就有零用錢，那我就可以繼續幫助你了，請你一定不要擔心。我知道遠方有個人需要我幫忙，我會很努力的，你放心吧！希望你也可以繼續加油努力!

Dear Lo-Ing:
How are you? I’m “Uncle” Sean. I was so happy when I received your letter. You have nothing to worry about; of course I will continue supporting you.
Congratulations on being the top in your class! Actually, you shouldn’t be calling me “Uncle” because I am only ten years old. I go to an elementary school and am in the fifth grade. I’m in the advanced program though, which is a bit harder than the regular curriculum. My average is a 92, and I rank at around 6 or 7 in my class.
So how are you? How are your parents and grandparents? I hope they recover soon.
So do you know why I support you?
Actually, it’s my mom you should thank. She knows that I like helping people, so she found this program for me. She’s the one who really supported you the first year. She gave the money. But when I save up enough money, I will definitely pay her back. Don’t worry; I’ll do my chores. My mom says that as long as I do my chores, I can get allowance, to support you. Don’t worry; I know that there is someone far away who needs me so I will do my best.
I hope that you will do your best, too.
